Our annual meeting will be held sunday the 25th march

at the dog race track ( WRV Midland ) in Lelystad ;

adress Hondsdraf 30. at 10.00 pm .

in the afternoon 13.30 AM we will start the bullyrun , a course for bullies , which is open for all minibulls who's owners are( paying ) members of the NMBTC .all members will be notified by email .

for the bullyrun.... visitors are most welcome to watch!

We just had a message with a remarkable story from one of our supporters of the minibulls in South Africa which I would like to share ;

it came from Tracey Butchart's husband and he made also the lovely drawing with it;

Thank you all for your support yesterday, when our beloved bullies - as well as Josie, Pebbles and Paddy - had a frightening encounter with a huge Mozambique Spitting-Cobra that we estimate to have been some two metres in length. How they escaped being bitten - or at least sprayed at - is nothing short of miraculous as both Lola and Tsatsa were so close to the snake that it appeared, in those torturous seconds, to be coiled and writhing beneath them! I can only speculate that the snake (which would have been fearing for its own life) was reluctant to give its attention to one dog, and thus risk being seized and killed by the other. In the blur of action, Josie also entered the fray, perhaps following me into the scene, while Pebbles and Paddy more sensibly stayed back . . .

The blood-curdling screams of Tracey and Julia Lily shattered our peaceful afternoon ramble down to the lake, and I found myself unconsciously hurtling through a fire-blackend thicket in an attempt to intervene (Vanessa and I had been 20 metres or so behind on the winding path) . . . the blood on the dogs, which we initially took for fang piercings, turned out to be from my own small cuts and scratches when later inspecting or carrying them. Having got the dogs to White River Veterinary Clinic and into the care of the heavily-pregnant doctor, I was advised by her and her husband to make haste to the MediClinic in case I had myself been bitten on the finger by the cobra during the commotion . . . this precaution, overseen by the ever-calm Catherine, turned out to be an over-reaction as my finger wound was nothing more than small tear . . .

I doubt that we'll be taking that route down to what we like to call 'Labrador Lake' again in a hurry . . . and it seems that summer (in particular) is a time to avoid walking dogs in the bush, but rather to keep them happy on open sports fields and short grass areas . . . such as the alternate route (down the sand road) to the dam.

Today, we are counting our blessings. . . . In an Uplands minute . . everything can change . . .

First Champion show for our club was held in Grou in De Twine " which was situated just at the exit from the A32 . we had 45 entries also from foreign countries , and 38 minibulls where actually there on the day. It was a very nice and rewarding day for all volonteers, who have given their utmost to take care that the program was well directed , so everyone was ready at the time we had planned from the opening till closingtime , when everyone went home or to their hotels and campings for another day of showing in leeuwarden saturday.

It is good to see that even most of the volonteers didn't own minibulls , they have given a lot of efforts to make sure that every minibull was presented in the best possible way , there where a lot of " first show" people , who took all advices, given by more experienced people, and showed it in the ring .

After the show all volonteers where handed over a personal present with a bottle of wine and our thanks , without them such events will be difficult to manage.

It was lovely to see that many new bully owners had made the trip to Grou to show their lovely little angels , it wasn't always easy because a lot of them had associations with the Vet once they where put on the table and only thought I have to get on the floor again as quick as possible ! .Butthe help of Harry lafleur the showmanager and the patience of the judge Mr. Patrick Parson , where all minibulls judged and had their show reports.

Offcourse every one thinks her or his dogs is the most beautiful one , and that won't change after reading the report , also you spot the qualifications " good " from some of the excellent looking minibulls , who where to much over the measure ( which is 35,5 cm ) to give them a higher qualification , because it is the size of the minibull what makes him so unique , that we have to take that serious , but also caracter and the total picture has to be correct.

The whole event is professional filmed , they never " did dogshows " but have enjoyed themselves . and we hope we get a lovely DVD where you can watch your own dog performing , looks always different than if you walk beside him.

A big Thank you for all people who made it possible to organize this day , people who have given money or prices for the raffle , also the Sponsor VDM Cavom Drachten , who made it possible to give all minibulls a nice treat and the winners of each group could go home with a bag of food!

The accomodation " De Twine " was just perfect ;more than enough place in and outdoors for all minibulls and their owners , also a perfect lunch completed it all.

For our foreign members , the results will be written in the clubmagazin in the following issues , that will be spread out in 2 because otherwise it fill to much space in one issue.

Annual meeting 20th of march 2011 held in lelystad (NL) start 10.00 oçlock

After the annual meeting which ended with succesfull news which will be sended by email seperatly , we planned a nice walk in the beautifull park of Lelystad

And anagin we had outstanding lovely weather for the time of the year , it was nice and sunny but not to hot.

After a delicious lunch , which all the minibulls used to rest a while and get the spirit up again we started at 12.30 with a "testdrive " so every minibull could tas a bit of the excitement on the track , offcourse they all ran seperatly ,for securety reasons , and beyond our expectations they did a wonderfull job !! even the youngest ( 3 months ) was really enjoying himself and tried to "catch "the moving target !

First price in category fastest minibull type bull was Spike , he was running like the wind and covered his track in 5,53 sec!! because he was the fastest from both categories type terrier and bull he will be this whole year fastest NMBTC minibull !

nr 2 was Payka same category , allthough she has a "rich "condition she was running like the wind and tried to catch the "prey" and the results where also very good 6.10 sec.

White Mak became first in the group terriertype , he was very focussed on the prey and clocked a super time 6.13 sec.

In second place came George , in the time of 6.87 sec.

Also the youngest minibull Travis had a special track suitable for his age , and he seems like a natural talent ! It looked like a "daily job "for him and next year the others have to watch out for him !!!

We also had an old lady who was competing , Buffy was as fanatic as all the youngsters and with her ears straight up she chased the prey in the very fast time of 7,41 sec. offcourse she became first with the senior group . Bravo Buffy !!

It was all together a lovely day with lots of fun for bull and boss !!

We have a date for our first Champions Clubmatch !!!

We got permission from the Dutch Kennel Club ( Raad van Beheer ) to organize our first Clubmatch .

because the FCI celebrate the fact that they exist 100 years and they do this with the EURODOGSHOW held in Leeuwarden from 1-4 september 2011 , we thought it would be a good idea to held our show in between two shows , that is on friday the 2th of september

Location; Sporthal de Twine te Grou( Fr)

Judge: Patrick Parson ( Fr)

Grou is on a short distance from Leeuwarden .

For a few foreign members we have found a place where they can put their camper or caravan, courtesy of the familie Veenstra , a toilet is available no other facilities.

Breaking news !!!!

We are glad and proud that the Dutch Kennelclub ( Raad van Beheer )
has given the NMBTC permission ( just 5 months after the start) ,

to enter as a member
so it is now a matter of weeks that the club get the final paperwork

The NMBTC wants to thank all foreign members for their support and trust
and we also looking forward on
a new future for the real Miniature Bull Terrier !!!

12 september 2010 , puzzelwandeling Hoornsterzwaag

De weergoden waren ons gunstig gezind, bij het eerste minibull treffen van de NMBTC, op enkele afmeldingen ivm ziekte na, was iedereen er die ingeschreven had met zijn of haar bulletje.

na een eerste kennismaking onderling en onder het genot van een kop koffie met een plakje cake, werd aan ieder "team"een korte routebeschrijving uitgedeeld;

hierop kon er vertrokken worden, minibull in de ene hand en het puzzelvel met pen/potlood in de andere......ik verzeker jullie, dat is nog niet makkelijk!!!

Gelukkig is er niemand verdwaald en al snel kwamen de eerste deelnemers, die de puppy route hadden gelopen (half uur) terug, en daarna was het wachten op de rest van het gezelschap, waarvan de een na de ander binnendruppelde, iedereen is droog binnen gekomen en daarna was het tijd om een lekkere lunch te verorberen.

Na de lunch werden de gevonden puzzelwoorden (puppiepret en puzzeltocht) en de daarbij behorende slagzinnen bekeken door een onpartijdige jury, en werden de prijzen bekend gemaakt;

De prijs voor de beste slagzin werd gemaakt door Jolanda,die ervan maakte;

Leuke bullen, aardige mensen en de juiste letters in 'n leuke puzzeltocht erbij :

Deze nieuwe club maakt ons allemaal blij !

De prijs voor de snelste wandelaars/puzzelaars ging naar Peter en Tilly, ze liepen met 3 hondjes( 1 minibull 2 Jack Russells) mee, maar waren toch sneller dan de anderen!

Dan was er nog een "poedelprijs"die gewonnen werd door de jongere deelnemers, Daan, Sten en Bram en Cindy die allemaal de lange route liepen met hun hond Mikey ,hadden per ongeluk een verkeerd papier gekregen (van de puppyroute) en moesten terug om de ontbrekende letters te vinden. Mikey vond het allemaal prima, Hij had het erg naar zijn zin in die grote "zandbak "

Een uitgebreide filmreportage werd verzorgd door Bart Videoprodukties, die onderweg wel even moest bellen om te zorgen dat de bulletjes en hun baasjes niet te hard vooruit holden !! Het is immers veel leuker om een kop van een bulletje te zien dan de k....!!

the first meeting between (mostly) dutch members of the NMBTC is coming ! We have chosen the 12th of september to make our first event possible. Every one is back from holiday, and later won't be possible because two miniladies will have their babies than.

More info follows quickly (email and on the website) but if possible keep that date in mind . For our foreign members we will report about the day with pictures and stories, so you also know how it went as soon as possible .

We are really glad to report you all that today our 50th member is a fact !

We now can apply for registration at the RvB the Dutch Kennelclub.

We hope the club will grow to the next 50.........!!

All magazins have been sent to the members, if you haven't recieved your first issue, please contact the secretary.

We are very pleased with all the interest in our club, the number of members is growing steadily.

We also are pleased that there is much interest from abroad .We have distributed at the beginning of July 2010, our first newsletter to the members. It is a special edition, which further extended the target we aim for, but we would also like some enthusiastic stories about and with the minibull. There is a section "minibulls and their owners" in which each magazin 2 Bullies "may introduce "their owners , or vice versa ...? In this first issue we have found two families willing to fill the first issue, but there are many more after the first edition, so, if you have a funny or interesting story or just want to say that your minibull is the cutest and sweetest bull in the world ..... make a nice picture of him or her with a family member, or the whole family and send it to the secretariate. The deadline for submitting copy for the 2nd issue is 15 october 2010. Most people in Holland can read English so if you send in stories, they will be printed in english in both issues.
